Wisp | Effective Date: October 2, 2026
Code Crafted Nexus LLC ("we," "us," or "our") makes Wisp, a disk-space utility for Windows and Mac. This policy explains what Wisp does and does not do with information.
Wisp does not upload your file names, file paths, file contents, or scan results anywhere. It has no account system and includes no analytics, crash reporting, or advertising identifiers. All scanning happens on your computer.
When you activate, and about every 12 hours while Wisp is open, the app contacts our license server (hosted on Supabase) and sends your license key, a one-way hash of your computer's hardware ID, the computer name, operating system, and app version. We use this only to enforce one-computer-per-license, to revoke refunded licenses, and to support you. It never includes file names, paths, or contents. We keep this license record for as long as the license exists.
When you press “Check for updates” (or enable automatic update checks), Wisp requests a small update manifest from our release page hosted on GitHub. Your IP address and the app version are visible to GitHub like any web request, subject to GitHub's own privacy policy. We do not keep our own logs of these requests. Updates never install without your click.
Wisp is sold through our website using Paddle.com as our payment processor and merchant of record. Paddle collects your payment details, name, and billing address directly under its own privacy policy — we never see or store your card number. We receive your name, email address, and order details from Paddle so we can email your license key (delivered through our email provider, Resend) and provide support.
If you email us, we keep your message and address so we can respond.
Wisp uses your operating system's cloud features (OneDrive, iCloud Drive, and similar) on your computer. It does not use your cloud account credentials and does not call cloud-provider APIs.
We do not sell your information. We share purchase and license information only with the service providers needed to deliver the product (Paddle, Supabase, and Resend), and we may disclose information if required by law or valid legal process.
We keep order and license records as long as needed to provide support and as required by tax and accounting law. You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of the personal information we hold about you at any time by contacting us at the email below. Depending on where you live (for example, the EU/UK or California), you may have additional rights, and we will honor valid requests. Deleting a license record may deactivate your license.
Wisp is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 13.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated effective date at the top of this page.
